2GN2S:

Another lucky mail day Saturday: A note from a dear friend and
Albuquerque artist sent a terrific surprise.

Inside the notecard with his wonderful artwork was a

strategically, making 8 pages.

pages 1 &2

pages 3 & 4

pages 5 & 6

pages 7 &8

back cover & front cover

Thank you, Terry, beautiful work as always.

And one more, a great postcard from Mitzi, a Seal Beach
artist, former student, and friend.

note the mask?

Thank you, Mitzi, you are so kind and talented.

Feel-good story:

That precious face.
Ken Benbow, a 94-year-old World War II veteran living in a care home in Preston, England, takes a photo of his late wife Ada to bed with him every night. Ken and Ada were married for 71 years before she passed away last August. One of his care workers, Kia Mariah Tobin, noticed his tender ritual and gifted Benbow a pillow — with Ada's lovely face on it. Love in many directions.

 2GN2S #2:

Photographer Spent Days Waiting For Museum Visitors To Match The Artworks They Observe, And it Was Worth It

France-based photographer Stefan Draschan,  camping in galleries for days, waiting for visitors who perfectly match the artworks they observe.

His photo series is called “People matching artworks,” and seeing it at first you might get an impression that it’s all staged. But the artist reassures that these perfect shots are actually achieved using patience. I picked 24 of his original 50 but you can see all here.

Smiles for Monday ...

Very nice post. I think if we keep our sense of humor it will help us all.

Oh, the hair! You are the queen of the hair! Just the best. Love the art with people observing and matching the pieces! :-)

I can only agree with everything that was said before already. You are not only the queen of the hair but also the queen of the best stories und pictures. Of cause there is much more to tell another day.
Jacki, here we had wonderful days, even weeks with much sunshine and nice temperatures. Now it already is a problem that it didn't rain for such a long time, everything is bone dry and some areas are already short of water - a new problem we have had to face for a few years now. Climate is changing?
With the beginning of May social life will get a bit easier. We weren't allowed to meet anybody from outside. Several friends and also one of my sons were staying alone for over 6 weeks, only groceries and pharmacies were open, all other stores closed. Wearing masks is obligatory. I think that's pretty much the same as in California?
Good luck, dear Jacki.
