Another great, cloudless, sunny Saturday in SoCal
& we are off to the Brewery!

The creation of the Brewery Arts Complex began in 1982

at the old site of the Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery.

With the passing of the Artist-In-Residence code,
artists rent live/work space in industrially zoned buildings.
Only rented to artists & is the "world's largest art complex."
These are true lofts, not apartments, in industrial buildings
that are a part of  a unique & creative community.

The Brewery ArtWalk is a bi-annual open studio weekend.
 With over 100 participating resident/artists,
to see new works, discover favorites, speak with the artists
& purchase artwork directly from the artists' studios.
ArtWalks takes place in the Spring and Fall, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm
Admission & parking are free & dine at the on-site restaurant.

Drew a blank for a blog today.
Sometimes nothing seems to surface?
But before I started to pull out my hair,
I noticed the file I did this week for WonderWoman.

In their new family room, they have a spot for a big canvas.

They like the bicycle canvas, but not there.
Their new house has a grey color scheme, and
so it will be moved upstairs to the game room.
WW asked to try shots from our NYC trip last September.
We had walked the Brooklyn Bridge & I got some lucky shots.

taken in Dumbo

This was in contention as she wanted a landscape format.

And this was her favorite shot, but it was portrait format.

So we compromised.
It is now being printed on a large canvas.

Mission accomplished.

A smile for Saturday ...
