WONDER of the WORLD

Now here's a wonder of the world you've probably never seen before.

The Chinese village of Laoniuwan is, as the locals say, where the Great Wall and the mighty Yellow River shake hands.

In this bend of the river lies the Laoniuwan Fortress, built in 1467.

A trip to this specific point on the Great Wall is a bit tricky to organize, but it's one of the only places where the Wall meets a body of water -- and according to experts, it's one of the most spectacular, too.

Such an interesting blog again, Jacki. Collage, Wonder of the World, such a cute pic of your young Grandhunks, spectacular bird and the last smile, I loved and enjoyed it all.
Have a fine weekend.
Here it is really cold and raining won't stop.

Thank you, Elenor. Your kind words really help me. It is a grey day today, 60' no rain for a while I guess, those who got too much rain are thankful for the time to dry out and repair. STAY WARM, ELENOR, AND HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND.

Thank you, John. It went through stages of almost stopping, then wishing I had stopped and then working more to save it, hopefully. Thanks again.
