Spring/Sprung

In a sign that spring has sprung in even northern Japan, an 8km stretch of road between Aomori and Lake Towada, known as the “Snow Corridor” has been cleared and opened to traffic.

The photos of the "Snow Corridor" are awesome. The road across Mount Großglockner, one of the most beautiful roads in the Alps, also has to be cleared before reopening in spring. But that doesn't look as impressive as the Japanese Snow Corridor.
