2GN2S ...

Another Hero

Heroes all over the world have been mobilizing to help people affected by the war in Ukraine.

For paramedic-turned-nurse Teresa Gray, that meant traveling 4,500 miles from her home in Anchorage, Alaska to provide critical medical support. Gray, a CNN Hero, is the founder of  Mobile Medics International, which deploys medical teams to natural disasters and refugee crises. She and several volunteers set up in Galati, Romania, where they provided care -- and comfort -- to hundreds of Ukrainians. Gray says because they are on the border of a war zone, in the middle of a shifting conflict, it's probably the most dangerous mission her organization has ever done. But volunteers knew the importance of their skills was worth the risk.

 Update ...

Today will be the last of our traditional Easter brunch at the house on the hill.

Superman and WonderWoman sold their lovely home and are in a free rent-back as they pack, to be out by the end of next month. The Grandhunks moved out the beginning of April and now live together in Costa Mesa with adopted Grandhunk #4, Chris. People ask me if I am moving, and I say not yet. I think I have five or more years ahead here. I have recovered from the surgeries pretty well. I have been back to Karate training ( my 50th year at age 80) since January, and my art activities and friends are here. I have never lived more than 12 miles away from WW in her whole life, so it will be a big change. But, if you could see how happy and excited they are to be starting on this new adventure, I wouldn't want to put a damper on that. They are still as in love as when they were dating, and after 26 years of marriage, plus two dating, it is a wonderful thing to see. They will reside in Henderson, NV as well as their Lake Havasu, AZ home, which they sometimes rent out.

So they will be a three hour drive away and just a thirty minute flight.  And, remember, they can fly!
