A painting by the artist Banksy honoring UK healthcare workers has set a new record for the artist, selling for $23.1 million at Christie's in London.

"Game Changer," which the enigmatic street artist donated to the University Hospital Southampton (UHS) in May of 2020 during the first wave of the pandemic, depicts a young child playing with a toy nurse wearing a Red Cross emblem, a cape and face mask. In a nearby basket, figurines of Batman and Spiderman lay forgotten.

Sophia the Robot 'self-portrait' NFT sells for almost $700K

Meet Sophia: The robot who smiles and frowns just like us, here.

A hand-painted "self-portrait" by the world-famous humanoid robot, Sophia, has sold at auction for over $688,000.

The work, which saw Sophia "interpret" a depiction of her own face, was offered as a non-fungible token, or NFT, an encrypted digital signature that has revolutionized the art market in recent months.
Titled "Sophia Instantiation," the image was created in collaboration with Andrea Bonaceto, an artist and partner at blockchain investment firm Eterna Capital. Bonaceto began the process by producing a brightly colored portrait of Sophia, which was processed by the robot's neural networks. Sophia then painted an interpretation of the image.

I love that there is a face that all of a sudden appears in your abstract. Just great! :-)

Julie is outstanding. I admire that you can create something unique and original daily. Pretty amazing what robots can do. Hmm, I wonder when they will ‘learn’ to make totally original art? Coming soon. Will they take art classes too🤣
The work from home fashions is how I dress these days. Right now I’m in a blanket cape.
Have a good weekend Jacki. Any chance for lunch before your surgery?

Thanks, John. I think Julie is a bit reclusive? Theses late-night ventures, I start at about 11 and hope to post at 12:03, bring about some surprises!

Thanks, Irene, so good to hear from you. You too post your original art daily, I enjoy seeing you on Instagram. I would love to see you, but I am afraid my dance ticket is full. Kaiser is booking me up, and I had to beg to get into my dentist to get a dental release form done. I am also hoping to get my 2020 taxes done before, as well as a recent PS job for a friend. I get my hair done on the 2nd and get my final covid test clearance before surgery and then am quarantined till the 5th. I can't even go to Erin's for Easter. I will be unable to drive for 6 weeks which will kill me. so after May 10th? Thanks again for asking, I sure miss you.

Again lots of interesting things can be found on your blog, Jacki. I so appreciate what you do for us every day. Thanks for that.
Internet and video calls are a blessing in these times and will be when you are in quarantine during Easter. Here it's not only Sunday but Monday is a holiday too. That's the day you get the new shoulder.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Thank you, Elenor, you always brighten my day and help me onward. I made an appointment to have my hair done on 4/2 and afterward I will be tested again for Covid and be quarantined until my surgery. So I will miss out on Easter with the family, but for a good cause. I like that you have 2 days for Easter, please enjoy.

Thanks for understanding, Irene. I am down to a week and the walls are closing in. Thanks again.
