2GN2S ...

Dearest Elenor, artist and good friend has again shared her beautiful photos from Austria. So many of you have said you so enjoy them, they really are stunning.

Last Sunday turned out to be a very  special day. After the fog had lifted we drove some kilometers out to the countryside and what we then saw was just miraculous. We never before had seen such a magnificent hoarfrost (or is glazed frost the right word?). I thought you would like some pics. Feel free to use all of them or just one or none of them.

Are you cold?

So the sculpture you got at Goodwill was actually looted from a museum. Now what?

Back in 2018, Laura Young was in an Austin Goodwill when she found a marble sculpture stashed under a table for $34.99. She bought it and brought it home. But after some Googling, she discovered her sculpture was actually a portrait bust that was previously on display in a German museum in the 1920s and '30s.

So how did it get to Texas? Here's what KUT's Matt Largey found out.

I so love this piece. It is calming and the blues are so wintery. You have brought back memories of Hoar Frost. I had never seen it until I lived in Germany. It is so cool. :-)

Jacky, thanks for the honor of sharing my pics. It has been raining for the past 2 days. No more snow and ice. We won't have white Christmas. So I feel so lucky to have seen this wintery miracle last Sunday.
Wishing you a very happy Christmas weekend!
