2GN2S ...

The oldest registered trademark in the United States dates back to 1870, when it was filed by paint manufacturer Averill.

Against the backdrop of Chicago, an eagle is depicted holding a paintbrush in its beak. The words "Durable, Beautiful, Economical" appear in a banderole. It has a very quaint feel.

The General Electric logo was designed in the 1890s, and was later modified in 2004 by Wolff Olins. Distinctly of the previous era, this landmark logo still represents thousands of consumer products and other services for more than a century after its establishment.

 Sidebar:

When I was in college I had a double major, Art and Physical Education. Art, where I was told I had some talent, PE because I loved all sports. My MFA was in art with a specialty in design. At that time I really thought I would go into advertising. I married my husband between our junior and senior years. He was a teacher and coach. So when it came time to get a job, I gave up the ad job offer and went into teaching to share teaching and vacations schedules with my husband. It wasn't a hard choice at the time.

When after 33 years, the marriage ended, I went back to school with kids my daughters age, to learn the computer. After a little over a year, I opened my own "Mom and no Pop" ad agency, I kept going to school to improve much needed skills.  I had small jobs but eventually was on retainer to three firms. The reason I brought this up is that I specialized in logos, identity and ads. I do have a love of good logos. So ...

Eight commonly seen logos ... but did you see?

(Did you notice the white arrow in between the E and x?)

(Did you notice the 2nd and 3rd "T's" are two people sharing a chip and a bowl of salsa?)

(The world's most famous bike race. The "R" in "Tour" is a cyclist. The yellow circle is the front wheel of a bicycle, the "O" is the back wheel.)

(The arrow means Amazon has everything from A to Z)

(There is a dancing bear above the "ble".
Toblerone chocolate bars originated in
Berne, Switzerland, whose symbol is the bear.)

(See the "31" embedded in the " BR"?
Thirty-one-derful flavors!)

(See the gorilla and lioness (in white) facing each other?)

(The smiley half face is also a 'g".)

Hidden Symbolism!

A  great 4-minute video, Denzel/Goalcast, here.

Your digital collage is excellent again. I would say, an excellent collage on a terrible and sad theme.
Jacki, you are amazing, always have been. I really admire what you have done.
