Update ...
Last Tuesday I got a text from Grandhunk #1 ...
I had been looking forward to seeing him and this morning was the day. I arrived early, and then (GH#1) beautiful and Katie arrived and we went in to the gym. I sent a text to WW who is in Arizona ...
with good friends, Jim and Kerry. She replied ...
So Katie obliged. We were early and got a seat.
GM#1 is an EMT and studying to be a paramedic, and eventually a firefighter. He has always wanted to help people. He studies Muay Thai, or "Thai boxing," a martial
art and combat sport that uses stand-up striking along with various
clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the "art of eight
limbs," as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows,
knees, and shins.
We had no idea of what to expect, or how many people. But it turned out to be a large group, probably 70 adults and about 40 juniors, all training at once. They wore ...

Club t-shirt, shorts, shin guards, hand wraps and gloves. |

I mainly watched my handsome Grandhunk #1.
But then I noticed that he had another admirer.
After a 70 minute workout it was time to award certificates of promotion. A big crowd.

Your piece gives a ray of hope in this devastating situation in the Ukraine. :-)
Oh thank you, John. We can hope and pray.
Jacki, you look so good and young in this lovely photo Kathie took. As you know I always enjoy your family pictures. I can see how proud you are of GH#1 and how much you love him. I'm glad you had such a wonderful weekend.
Loved the story about GH#1 and the "art of the eight limbs". Also like Madame Curie's comment.
