A short Dad story.
Dad asked me to do something,
I countered with the jobs I had yet to do,
no doubt trying to avoid doing his task.
Dad repeated his directions.
I said what about ... listing my jobs yet to do.
He countered with, "they will be there when you get done."
He used that one a lot.
