Every year, this juried exhibit showcases artwork from all over the state of California. MICA strives to highlight artists in all stages of their careers and offers them a chance to compete for a number of awards, including the coveted solo show opportunity. This regional show features artwork from an extensive variety of mediums and explores creative movements happening in California.

Loved the cartoons today. Also thanks for the vicarious tour of the Brea Show. Unfortunately something happened between Brea and Watercolor West, and so they divorced. Therefore WW will only have a virtual show this year and is looking for a new partner for 2022.

Things just keep changing whether I want them to or not!

I love how the painted papers break up the piece. :-)

Absolutely love today's collage again.
To see what's going on in modern art is also quite interesting. I'm not enthusiastic about every piece but some of really them appeal to me.

Carol says,
"Things just keep changing whether I want them to or not!". i must admit that i often feel the same. Is it because I'm older now and can compare? I wouldn't say everything should stay as it is now but some changes are not for the better, are they?
Have a wonderful weekend, dear Jacki.

Thank you , Elenor, it was fun to cruise the gallery. Valerie and I go at a different pace. Which is a really personal way to enjoy. I don't think I will do so many next time, and definitely won't add the artists name etc. as it is too time consuming. But,I do appreciate people liking it.
