A re-post from September 2018. ... (because Carrol Wolf said I could when needed.)

What a great day!
Co-pilot, artist, friend Valerie & I went to LA ...

47 miles and four freeways to the Broad, LA 's newest museum

The Broad is a new contemporary art museum built by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broadon Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. The museum, which is designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler will offer free general admission. The museum is home to the nearly 2,000 works of art in the Broad collection, which is among the most prominent holdings of postwar and contemporary art worldwide. With its innovative “veil-and-vault” concept, the 120,000-square-foot$140-million building will feature two floors of gallery space to showcase The Broad’s comprehensive collection and will be the headquarters of The Broad Art Foundation’s worldwide lending library.

We expected great and it was even better ...

I took over 180 photos, so editing is problematic.

Red Block (2010) Found aluminum & copper wire by El Anatsui, giant shimmering sheets from bottle caps, reused aluminum commercial packaging, wire and found materials. Red Block a firm square of woven red liquor labels can be
folded and hung according to the dictates and curation of the institution that displays it.

These are just a few of the favorites, there are so many more.

We had a great day!

What you did with the photograph is truly amazing! It must have taken a long time to accomplish. I do love it so. :-)

I love how you used color in "NYC windows"
This museum seems to be amazing. Your photos give me an impression of it. Editing so many photos is really work but it gives you the chance to admire the artworks again. Thanks for sharing some of them with us.

I also just love the NYC Windows. It's very different for you, so I know you were going out of your comfort zone, and that is a good thing. Colors are also spectacular. Thanks for posting.

Thanks John, yes, unusual digital work for me, I did a ouple of variations. You know when you are really into it and just keep going?

Thank you, Elenor. I have a lot of photos from the NYC trip a few years ago, and I am fascinated with architecture.

Thanks so much Carrol, did you notice you were mentioned? Yes, definitely out of my comfort zone, but as you said, good for me. Hope your remodeling is going smoothly?
