UK's first socially distanced concert shows what the future of live music might look like

When the coronavirus pandemic emerged, the music and
hospitality industry took a beating. Concerts and events
were canceled all over the world as countries
imposed lockdown restrictions and stay-at-home orders
to curb the spread of the virus.

A new UK pop-up venue, the Virgin Money Unity Arena,
is testing this out. Some 2,500 fans gathered at the
outdoor venue Tuesday for what organizers described
as the UK's first socially distanced concert.

This splash of color isn’t the surface of a science
fiction-inspired planet. It’s the yearly bloom of the
Red Beach Wetland in Panjin City, China.
Every fall, the massive mudflat turns
a dramatic shade of red thanks to the presence of a
unique type of blossoming seepweed.
The area is also home to hundreds of migratory birds,
including endangered black-billed gulls and wild
red-crowned cranes-- the second-rarest crane in the world.

I love long necked portraits. It reminds me of one of my favorite artists, Modigliani. :-)

Thanks, John! I too am a Modigliani fan, but I have always wished I had a long neck, so I think that is also a contributor.
