Daily, after breakfast we would meet at the van for that day's outing. Eleven of us, required 8 in the van with David, our host and driver, and 3 in the Peugot with the driver, usually Dibs.
And we were off to different towns, or cities daily. Les Baccacs is a hamlet, small cluster of building without a bank or post office.
We changes seats every ride, so we all had good views.
Our destination was always an hour or less drive.
The towns have market days, it was a Sunday so
we went to L'Isle Sur La Sorgue, with a bustling marketplace

The building similar but different.
The shutters are functional, and
fascinating to me. Thick walls,
deep windows, heavy shutters.
All meant to last, centuries.

Little sidewalk cafes are are a
welcome place to sit, people-watch
and discover gelato! My first
ever gelato was passion fruit!
We all met David at 12:15 for a return to Les Bassacs for our waiting lunch. The afternoon and evenings were free. I took a nap.
Some went walking, or sketched, many worked in the studio.

At 7:30 the bell rang and we went to dinner.
Each place set with a salad.
Dinner was a self serve buffet of ...
And dessert, which I forgot to photograph.
Another blessed day at Les Baccacs.
