On a beautiful clear & cloudy 67' day I decided on ...
a trip to Brea Gallery.
Just 19 miles from me, I took the 55, to the 22, to the 57!
I wanted to see their show, Immersion,
before it closes after Friday, April 5th.
An unusual and ambitious exhibition where visitors view art
in a new way through dynamic, large-scale installation pieces.

Ten artists transformed this beautiful gallery
into a series of imaginative environments.
This black one was really hard to film,
note the window in the back to get your bearings.
This was a small room ...
where the walls and floor were lined in op art.
Those of you that know I've been dealing with vertigo,
might guess I didn't stay here for long.
This one featured wood and yarns.

None 3-D mirrows made with multiple slices of wood.

This installation took up an entire gallery wall.
Photos don't do it justice.

This metallic work was suspended, floating in the central gallery.
This organic fabric work, climbed the walls,
and spilled onto the floor.

Metallic threads fell from ceiling wires, tangled, moving in the air.
Along the outside wall was a really colorful installation.
Shapes and spectacular colors, gathered densely and threaded.

I saw stacked chairs behind a divider at the gallery,
so took two pictures to use for today's lead art today.
