Meet KFC’s new Japanese Colonel Sanders
The white-suited, white-haired, bespectacled Colonel Sanders is an icon around the world, especially in Japan. You’ll find a statue of the KFC founder outside nearly every fried chicken outpost in the country and he even occasionally gets dressed up for Christmas and Golden Week.
Japanese KFC commercial: here.
While we all know and love the OG Sanders, Japan is switching
things up by introducing a new man in the white suit: Japanese actor
Kento Kaku.
The 32-year-old actor, who you might recognize from J-dramas like
‘Tokyo MER’ and ‘Naoki Hanzawa’, has temporarily suited up as Sanders to
attract modern audiences with his suave looks and charming personality.
Update ...
I am at the house on the hill for the last time.
Superman and WonderWoman left this morning with a U-Haul and followed by their truck on their way to Henderson, Nevada.
The wall are bare. Artwork, mirrors and tv's were bubble- wrapped and filled a big part of the U-haul. They took Zoey to Dogtopia early this morning but Laker was here watching them pack up. He of course wanted to go with them but there was no room. WW told him that Grandma was coming. I came before noon and he seemed relieved. He and I picked up Zoey at 4:30.
It has been grey all day, no rain, some scattered drizzle.
The real movers come next Friday for furniture, clothing and all. Saturday the cleaning crew will finish getting the house on the hill ready for the new owners.
It has been a great home with wonderful memories. It's the end of a chapter, and the start of a new one. A new adventure for WonderWoman and Superman.
Just because ...
Smiles for Saturday ...
Thanks for coming by today.

Very strong piece, Jacki. I love how the dominant colors are so strong that they draw the eye downward. :-)
Thanks John, I think today was 84 days of Ukraine collages.
Excellent collage, Jacki.
The sky may have reflected your thoughts and feelings. Heavy grey clouds with light gaps making room for the sun to come through again. Always facing forward and being curious what will come, that's what we are supposed to do?
Happy Sunday, Jacki.
Great post. I know today would be a little tough, but all things work out.
Thanks, Elenor.I think this blog made it seem like I am more sad that I actually am? Maybe the dark clouds? Anyway, I am really happy for them to embark on their new adventure as empty nesters. They are excited and have worked hard for this.
Thank you, Anonymous! I agree, I am a great believer that thing work out for the best. Thank for commenting. Can you give me a hint??
