This crazy year:
An assault on normalcy.
A challenge to sanity,
A test of flexibility.
An assessment of patience.
Creating alternatives.
Caring for others.
Information overload.
Solutions underachieved.
Layers of fatigue.
Determination to endure
add your own?

2GN2S

An idyllic summer day in Indiana ...
My cousins, had a lovely day that they said I could share.

"Nearby I found a patch of black raspberries
growing in the weeds and picked over a pint.
Scott and Jayden enjoying fishing, listening to the birds."

"I can quickly think of 7 or 8 families I know who,
after realizing their kids were going to be stuck at home
for months, spontaneously got a puppy.
I’ve called these COVId Pets. We succumbed
to the same pressure, but we already had
a dog and a cat.
What Julia REALLY wanted was a veiled chameleon.
So in April we bought the 4 foot high cage, his accessories,
and set them up in her room.
Her chameleon’s name is Pascal, and he does change colors.
Not to match his surroundings, but to reflect his mood,
or stress level.  He goes dark when he is stressed.
His eyeballs move independently as he sizes you up.
He can zap a cricket from 10 inches away with
lightening speed.  A quiet, entertaining Covid Pet."

Pascal

Thanks to Indiana correspondents, Michelle, Scott,
Jayden, Julia, and Pascal.
