A wonderful email from artist/friend Heidi in Austria.
She said: "Today was such a marvelous summer day.
I thought I could send you some pictures from our today‘s walk.
Thinking of you in this difficult time and
sending you best wishes and love Heidi "

So, let's go for a lovely, peaceful walk in Austria.

Thanks, Heidi, for a lovely visit to Austri.

PHEW! Ever feel like a week whizzes by so fast
you haven't had a chance to exhale?
It may just be a symptom of pandemic life, or perhaps just extra antsy. In any case, I've been recommended a trick called the 4-7-8 breathing technique, considered a simple (and free!) way to release some weekday tension. Here's how it works:

To start, breathe in through your nose, mouth closed, for 4 seconds. Then, hold that breath for 7 seconds. Focus on it. Isn't it odd to think so hard about breathing?
When 7 seconds is up, release that breath,
slowly through your mouth, over 8 seconds.
Then, hold that breath for 7 seconds. Focus on it.
When 7 seconds is up, release that breath,
slowly through your mouth, over 8 seconds
Let every bit of breath escape in that time.
repeating the technique up to seven times,
or until you feel relaxed. It's best done in the supine position,
eyes closed, in a cool, dark room.
And by the end of your breathing repetitions, you may
find those fried circuits in your head have repaired themselves.

Your collage is wonderful, Jacki. Thanks for sharing. Thanks also for sharing the 4-7-8 breathing technique. It really helps.
I feel so honored that you showed my simple pictures. I hope your other readers don't feel bored.
Thinking of you and hoping you are fine.

I love the line quality of this collage. Varied is great! I almost thought I was looking at an abstract pansy when I looked at your piece. Terrific! :-)

No, thank you dear Heidi, your photos added so much to the blog, and came at a time when they were so needed. Several have commented on their beauty and peacefulness. Paradise I think?

Thanks, John, I just work on the relationship of the pieces within the design and often miss an alternative image unless someone mentions it.
