Update ...

I hadn't planned on it, but I was tired after an acupuncture appointment, so I thought I would take a nap. But, I started watching Little League national championship series!

The Little League Baseball World Series is an annual baseball tournament for boys—aged 10 to 12 years old, held in the Eastern United States.

There is such a wide range in size and maturity within the 10 to 12 years ...

They show the stats for each batter, and I saw from 4'10" to 6'1" and 76 pounds to 185 pounds.

Their intensity was palpable. And even better, I saw a runner tap knuckles with the first baseman.

Even from the dugout, rapt attention to the game.

Stands which are usually packed with spectators, were not open to the public due to Covid concerns, but family members were scattered in bleachers.

Players from earlier games watched and ate.

I watched Nebraska win over NewJersey and part of California versus New Hampshire.

It is double elimination within the 16 regional champions.  A team would have to lose twice to be eliminated. The overall champion will play the International champion team. I might mention, that all of the referees, groundsmen, booth keepers etc. are all non-paid volunteers, because they love this game. An American tradition since 1939. when Little League international baseball organization was formed for children and teenagers, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, by Carl E. Stotz and brothers Bert and George Bebble. The league originally included boys age 8 to 12. Girls have been admitted since 1974. Texas will have a girl team member in 2021.

Was your acupuncture appointment a success? I hope it brings you some relief.
The portraits of the boys are fantastic. The game itself is still a secret to me.
And of course your cacti are lovely. It's another wonderful blog today.
Thanks Jacki. Have a fine weekend.

Thanks, Elenor. The Acupuncture helps some, but nights are difficult. Oh to sleep through a whole night! But it could be so much worse, I am thankful. The cacti are fun and easy to do, might you try one?

Thanks John. The cacti are so forgiving, and the marker bails me out in the end.
