Two days ago, the odometer in my sweet little
(squirrel-powered) hybrid passed 100,000 miles.
I didn't catch the actual rollover, but took a pic when parked.
It's a 2010 dark gray Honda Impulse that I bought used
in 2012 with 30,000 miles, if I remember correctly?
I got to thinking about the 70,000 miles that I added
over the years, and where the miles had been?
over the years, and where the miles had been?
I am known to anthropomorphize just about everything.
This sweet unassuming thrifty car is my best ever.
I've had fancier, faster, bigger, sportier but not sweeter.
She has dents in her hood, but so do I, we relate.
Then I wondered what my odometer would say?
Thank goodness it's somewhat hidden.
But, considering that I started with Dad's VW,
then a Kharman Ghia, a Datsun truck, Porsche 911,
Ford wagon, VWbus, Saab, VW Squareback,Volvo,
Nissan 280 ZX, 2 Honda Accords, Lexus SC 400 sports coupe,
Mercedes AMG sports car over many years? Lotta miles.

I finally got smarter and got something in my price range.

Greetings!
I really liked the collage—the colors are wonderful. It feels so peaceful!
And the cars! I’ve always loved cars. VW in high school and college. I can’t remember all of them, but my favorites were a red TR6, a Citroen (joint custody), a Gremlin (trash—you get what you pay for) and my blue Toyota hatchback. My husband was a careful man—his last car had 469,000 miles on it. It died on me after I lost him.
Take care and thanks for “listening.”

This number piece has a lichen feel to it....you know like on rocks or metal. Beautiful! :-)
