2GN2S ...

Again we are lucky to receive photos from Austria, and Elenor wrote: "I wanted to send you some pictures from a visit to a bakery, a place with a history of more than 100 years. It already existed when Austria was an empire. You also can find pics on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/258462047/kuk-hofbackerei/ where you get an impression what it looks like there and what you can get there. I only can say, everything is delicious. The pics come from my IPhone.

Kaiser Franz Joseph was the Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary. All that ended in a huge disaster, WW1 with millions of deaths. My grandmother lost her husband before their son was born. In one pic you see a map of Austria before the war. Not much was left of it. Austria now is tiny. I love this place, although one might feel as in a museum. Maybe because my grandparents had to survive these tragic times when they were young.  It's not about right or wrong, it's their and my history.
Wishing you the very best.

Thank you, Elenor for our visit to Austria!!

Thanks, Jacki, it's an honor to see my poor pic here on your great blog. Of course I can't and don't want to compete with first class prize winning nature photographs. 2 totally different worlds, each interesting and unique - as is life, which is always a "Challenge".
