Naoki Sugi, How Deep is Your Love
2GN2S ...
My cousin, Denise, posted this page the on Facebook and it's fantastic! He’s spot on with
relationships and advice. Things we know but hard to do sometimes.
I should've known this years ago.
Not everyone is going to like you.
Not everyone is going to acknowledge your presence.
Always be kind to others, no matter the situation.
If you constantly feel like you're walking on eggshells near them, they’re not your people.
You get to choose the people you surround yourself with, so choose the ones who are choosing you back.
Never make permanent decisions based on temporary emotions.
Someone's effort is their direct reflection of interest in you.
Never punish the one in front of you for the mistakes made by the one behind you.
Always listen to the person you're in a relationship with.
Remember ... having high standards keep you from having low quality experiences.
If your absence doesn't affect them then your presence never mattered.
The longer you entertain what's not meant for you, the longer you postpone what is.
Always do for others and never expect anything in return.
Friendship is one of the most important things you can invest in, in life. Make the time.
Love didn't hurt you. Someone who doesn't know how to love hurt you. Don't confuse the two.
When your light starts exposing other people's shadows, they might try to convince you that your radiance is toxic, especially if they lack emotional maturity. Love yourself and keep shining.
Take my advice and always remember.... to surround yourself with people who truly want the best for you and your mental health.
Because your circle ....... it matters.

*This is a rather long re-post of three years ago, but it made me laugh and Carrol Wolf said I could!
Today I was sitting on the patio, of the Superhero's former house on the hill.
80 degrees in Anaheim Hills with a gentle breeze. No noise, no tv, just the sound of random cars passing down the hill, or once in a while a jet passing on it's way to LAX.
Both Grand-dogs were nearby.
Puppy Zo had just finished doing wheelies around the yard. She does that indoors too, around the large ottoman or big ones outside when her energy level is on tilt. I've tried to figure out how to harness some of that energy
and absorb it, but so far no luck.
Laker, age 7, is satisfied watching Zoey's antics and rarely exhibits his athleticism. Zoey was laying on the outdoor couch by me, when all of a sudden, Laker tore off full speed, like a bat out of "you know", and Zoey and I both looked to see what made him fly by.
Laker had seen a squirrel who dared to touch the wall of the enclosed yard. The poor squirrel saw a jet propelled boxer coming at him and he levitated to the top of the wall post!
Then he magically ran across the skinny iron posts, like a four-legged tight-rope walker, it was amazing to see. At one point where the posts are about three feet from the
two story pine tree,
he jumped to the tree and ran up about15 feet, where ...
Haven't seen him since. Laker has checked the tree several times.
All of this happened in less than a minute.
I had wondered what today's blog would be?
Just when I thought this story was finished, we three heard the familiar squeaky challenge.
I think he had told his friends up in the tree, sold tickets & said watch this! So he perched on the branch, he challenged Laker. Whenever Laker tired of the show, he got louder.
Then he came down maybe 15 feet from the ground and swished his long tail up and around ... driving Laker and the squirrel chaser-in-training nuts! Have you ever heard a squirrel talk smack?A squeaky, sarcastic, staccato with tail flourishes! Laker barked, Zo kinda barked.
Even a dog from down the hill barked in support. Laker is at the wall as I write.
Zoey, not so much.
How was your Sunday? I hope it was perfect and just the way you like it. Thanks for stopping by.
Just because ...

Great post. I really miss the squirrels - such smart little critters! We don't have them here in our neighborhood.
That's again one of those collages I really adore!
3 pieces!
Jacki, you are the absolutely best master of collage.
Thanks Marilyn, it's so great to hear from you, I think of you so often. Yes, that squirrel was really a showman! I have a couple outside my studio that live in the big pine trees.
Thanks Elenor, yes I agree the few pieces are my favorites, but usually I go right on by??
Three element collages are my favorite. :-0
Thanks John, me too.
