House on the Hill update:
Today started with Laker & Zoey up at a reasonable 7:11 am.

Laker on the patio couch, sunning.

Laker still sunning, with Zoey in the background.

Zoey surveying her kingdom and 2 black dogs below.

This is Zoey sending me psychic messages and a whine to go out.

This is Laker, 8, thrilled to have a camera in his face for a close-up.

This is Zoey, 1-1/2, securing her snake.
It has 6 different squeakers! Lovely!

This Zoey the tennis fan, actually watched and sometimes went closer to the screen to see the Tsitsipas vs Federer tennis match.
All in a day. One tent short of a Circus!

Just because...

The shoebill stork is a tall bird, with a typical height range of 43 to 55 inches and some specimens reaching as much as 60 inches long from tail to beak can range from 39 to 55 inches. The wingspan is  7 ft -7 inches to 8 ft 6 in. The species is aggressive.
They may be big, but they can fly if they want to.
Granted, shoebills don't fly very far, and long flights are rare,
but flying is no mean feat considering their size.
They eat big fish like lungfish, eels, and catfish, and also crazy stuff like Nile monitor lizards, snakes, and baby crocodiles.
This bird eats crocodiles!

* I don't usually add details to the just because, but he fascinated me enough to look him up.

A smile for Sunday ...

I know some people have a fear of clowns. Not me. I love this piece. So festive! :-)
