Kitt the Police Dog and His Human

Braintree officer Bill Cushing needed a partner. Kitt, an expertly trained German Shepherd, needed a purpose. Together, they rescued each other. Bill Cushing was exercising in his home gym when he got the call. It was a little before 1 p.m. on June 4, 2021, and the Braintree police officer thought he could get a workout in before his shift started while Kitt, his police dog for the past decade, slept in his kennel. When Cushing suddenly heard sirens, though, and his iPhone lit up with the Braintree Police Department number, he knew his day was about to start early.

 

In 2011, Officer Bill Cushing’s dream of becoming a K-9 officer came true when he and Kitt were paired together. Over the years, Kitt would become more than just his partner. He became his best friend.

 

Word began to spread around the South Shore about Cushing and his exceptional K-9 partner, and soon calls flooded Braintree from surrounding towns requesting the duo’s assistance.

 

Bill Cushing underwent more than 600 hours of specialized training with his dog, Kitt, before they were ready to track fugitives or missing people

 Howdy again from Nevada! 

It got to 109 today. But inside the house or car the A/C saves us. Erin had errands and had scheduled a pedicure at noon. While driving around town, I shot more photos of clouds.

  Above photo was taken out of the passenger's side window as we were on the freeway.

This was taken through the roof as we drove. After several errands, but before one more, WW decided we should try the new ice cream shop that is so popular. So we went to ...

 

Definitely popular we added on to the line. They had signs I thought you might enjoy?

While we were waiting we found out how tall we were? WW was 16 scoops, I was14-1/2. I'm guessing that they had at least 50+ kinds of ice cream, so it was difficult to pick. Luckily they had a sample container of and 4 scoops of ice cream.The photo of the samples don't look as great as they tasted, because they were starting to melt!

WonderWoman's 4 flavors were, banana cream pie, caramel pretzel crunch,  graham central station and s'mores.  I got strawberry shortcake, caramel pretzel crunch, peach and  vanilla. It's funny I've had ice cream 2 days in a row, and hadn't had ice cream in years at home. WW says it's because it's hot, 109 today. 

Tonight Superman,WonderWoman, Grandhunk #3 and I ate at I💗 Sushi in Henderson. If you saw the movie Kill Bill it looks a lot like that. And, I can't begin to list the sushi plates eaten

by the sushi plates eaten by the men, Erin had chicken and tonkatsu. I had vegetable tempura ala carte and sesame fried rice. We are are all home, Sm & WW are watching tv, GH#3 went to workout and I will work on the artwork for this silly blog, then go to bed. A terrific day. Thanks for stopping by. See ya tomorrow?
