Virtual Tour: Bernd & Hilla Becher | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Jeff Rosenheim and Joyce Frank Menschel, curator in charge, Department of Photographs host a virtual tour of BERND and HILLA BECHER, (video below) a retrospective celebrating the renowned German artists who changed the course of the late twentieth-century photography.
Working
as a rare artist couple, they focused on a single subject: the
disappearing industrial architecture of Western Europe and North America
that fueled the modern era.
Hello from Henderson, NV, 101' outside , 73' inside.
It's been a quiet day here, just Grandma and the Granddogs. Up at 6:40 am and fixed their morning meal at 7am. Most of the day they nap, and I might get one in too.
Part of my day was watching the Little League Championships.
I watched the International Championship game between Chinese Tai Pei and Curacao. Both were very good, but Curacao dominated. Now we are talking about 11 and 12 year old boys, some 4'8" and 65 pounds, some 6'1" and 185 pounds. So fun to see.
Then it was the US Championship game ...
The Honolulu team had won easily every game so far.
The national anthem was played by a violinist.
It was so beautiful. I tried to find his name or a
video, but no luck this time.
Honolulu won and will play Curacao tomorrow for the World Championship. Zoey watched a little bit, but too much wait time for her. Meanwhile, WW and SM are still in Miami.
enjoying the scenery ...
But they will soon be moving on.
To be continued.
And, just in ... Grandhunk #2's best friend, Garrett Mitchell who was drafted from UCLA by the Milwaukee Brewers, has been called up to the majors!
