Another hero!

1979

 I don't do politics here, but I do notice a hero.

Now age 99, born October 1, 1924.

 James Earl Carter Jr. is an American politician and humanitarian who served as the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the 76th governor of Georgia from 1971 to 1975, and as a Georgia state senator from 1963 to 1967
Jimmy Carter/Awards:
Nobel Peace Prize, 2002;
Presidential Medal of Freedom, 1999; National Defense Service Medal; WW11 Service Medal; India Ghandi Prize, 1997; United Nations Prize for Human Rights, 1998; Hoover Medal, 1998; China Service Medal; Fulbright Prize, 1994; Albert Schweitzer Prize for
Humanitairianism.

Since 1994, President and Mrs. Carter have worked for Habit for Humanity.
The Carters' first volunteer Habitat build was in New York City in 1984. That became the annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, which would eventually build, renovate or repair 4,400 homes in 14 countries.Mar 2, 2023

Billed as "nicest place on the Internet"!

 It had to happen, there are studies that have shown that a twenty second hug reduces the harmful, physical effects of stress, including its impact on your blood pressure and heart rate. That's because prolonged hugging releases oxytocin, a powerful hormone in the brain, only found in mammals.

And if you don't have anyone handy, go here !

An actual website dedicate to hugs and hoping you feel better. 💖💙💜💛
