2GN2S ...

488 Golden Retrievers in Scotland

Everyone has been waiting for arrives at the Guisachan Gathering, for the group photo to be taken. A kind of convention for golden retrievers,
About every five years, owners and their dogs travel to Guisachan in the Highlands to celebrate the anniversary of the breed's founding. This year's edition was the biggest.

Some of you have mentioned that you like the Dad stories. Here comes another one.
Dad was a ladies man, he was single from when I was 5 years old.

He was always clean and dressed well.
When he had a messy job like working on
his car engine he would scrape the bar of
soap with his finger nails before starting. I asked why and he said because when you washed your hands after, the nails were clean. His cure for avoiding bad breath, was CLOVE.
I don’t think they make it any more? And, yes, he bought it by the 20 pack,

because it was cheaper & he wouldn’t run out. My Dad, you would have liked him,  most everybody did

Jacki, I'm sure I would have liked your dad. I remember my dear neighbor when she told me about her mother and she had tears in her eyes. I think she was about 70 then. So I learned that we miss our fathers and mother no matter how old we are. We miss them forever. At least I do.
Last week we had summer temperatures and since Sunday it is so cold with frost in the morning. That's normal for this season but it's hard to get used to it.

Thank you, Elenor! It is 86' Farenheit here today. We will be turning our clocks back an hour on Nov.5th, so it will get darker earlier. It a holdover co0ncession for farmers, but really unnecessary now?
