Artistic Leaf Patterns Made by Land Artist Nikola Faller
Raking paths and forming patterns, land artist Nikola Faller creates charming, fleeting sculptures out of fallen leaves. The paths, patterns, forms and words are drawn with a rake instead of a pencil, but the effect is the same, showcasing the power of art in any medium.
For those of you who were with this silly blog in August, you have already seen my friend and great artist, Terry Garrett, now home in Albuquerque, NM. Terry and I have been friends for over 12 years, back when he lived in Minnesota. Funny how you can meet someone on line and just know they are soulmates. When we finally met in person, we knew we'd be friends forever.
I thought of Terry today, being October 1st, it is time to change my calendar (from Terry). There a number of lucky people that receive his monthly art/calendar for the coming year.
September out and October in. |
Because of his terrific art, and because it's from him, I have saved every years art from 2014. See below.
In the daily posts from Las Vegas here, here, here, and here, last August, you can see how much fun 5 artists can have together for four days.
We were all laughing so much and so often, I love that I caught this one of dear Terry. Great memories.

These Artistic Leaf Patterns could be called paintings. They are such a beautiful idea. And even that they are gone after a while is a good idea. So there is place for new ones and we might enjoy and appreciate them more as long as they are here.
Thanks for this interesting blog again, Jacki!
Thank you, Elenor. It makes me smile to rea your kind words. Thanks again.
Dear Jacki- so sweet of you- that was an amazing wonderful time together. So very happy you enjoy the calendar! You are so very dear to me.
I always enjoy your people images. Great job on the worried look on the youth’s face. :-)
Thanks Terry, I'm glad you got to see that blog. I think about you so often. And you have a special place in my heart, I feel so lucky having you in my life.
THANKS, JOHN. I FEEL SO BAD FOR THE CHILDREN, THIS IS THEIR NORMAL!
