Awkward: A bunch of shy dogs got together at the park in amusing video

Dog parks usually bring to mind a bunch of frolicking dogs making friends. But this wasn't the picture at a park in Sweden, when a bunch of awkward canine "introverts" got together.

"Imagine putting a lot of introverts in one room," said a rescue dog's human in this hilarious TikTok video. "My dog is introvert so we went for a meeting with like-minded dogs. This is what happened." Click here

How many black dots do you see?

Ninio J, Stevens KA. Variations on the Hermann grid: an extinction illusion. Perception (2000) via Will Kerslake

This optical illusion – one of the best of the last few years – will really mess with your head. How many black dots are there? The answer is 12, but your visual system won't let you see them all at once.

And I knew you would want to know why, so here it is. On Sunday afternoon, game developer Will Kerslake tweeted a picture of intersecting gray lines on a white background. Twelve black dots blink in and out of existence where the gray lines meet. In the six hours since he posted the photo to Twitter, it’s been shared more than 6,000 times, with commenters demanding to know why they can’t see all 12 dots at the same time.

In this optical illusion, the black dot in the center of your vision should always appear. But the black dots around it seem to appear and disappear. That’s because humans have pretty bad peripheral vision. If you focus on a word in the center of this line you’ll probably see it clearly. But if you try to read the words at either end without moving your eyes, they most likely look blurry. As a result, the brain has to make its best guess about what’s most likely to be going on in the fuzzy periphery — and fill in the mental image accordingly.

TMI? There's more ... here.

Update ...

My cousin, Katha's daughter Alana's daughter Jayna's daughter Abbi is in 4-H, and is a wonderful seamstress. I just received her picture and description.

Abbi is ready for her fall Halloween party as a medieval queen. Her fabric is a medium to heavyweight polyester and metallic blend. The royal blue & silver material gives the perfect look for this ankle length dress that has shaped seams and a small stand-up collar. Abbi added shoulder pads with the reverse fabric and chains in both the front and back of the dress to finish the look. She accessorized with a silver tiara, sparkly stud earrings and silver glitter slip on shoes. (This was worn/modeled in the Free choice category)

I will let you know about both cousins when I hear.
