A thank you card: pencil, gesso and marker on kraft card. |
I wanted to make a thank you card for friend, Mei Okumura. We train together, and she has kept me supplied with beautiful masks. Her family, Masa, Brandon and Riley are all black belts and over-achievers in the best sense. I didn't do justice to the white fur-ball in the middle. Their Yuki is such a handsome dog and charms all who see him. Their family has let me ride with them to events, and even invited me to a picnic with Demura Sensei and his friend. I knew this card was rough, but was relieved and pleased when former student, Michael Keating saw it and said, "Oh, the Okumura's.

Your thank-you card is great. Thanks for showing how you made it.
I also had fun with your Smiles for Thursday.
Have a fine evening, dear Jacki!
Thank you Elenor, it was a quick process to make the card, but Mei seemed to like the card better than the gift card inside?
So, so you. Knowing your interest in martial arts this is so you. Fun! :-)
Thanks, John, it seemed like a good idea at the time? ;o)
