the quick sisters: collage & marker on book cover |
Want music?

As a quick demo in a recent Mixed Media class, I used ...
the inside of this old book cover ...
coated it with grey gesso before drawing the sisters.
Then adding collage quickly, spontaneously with gel medium.
Using scraps of paper as paint strokes.
I think I could add more, but decided to go with it as it is ...
an unfinished look to match the technique?

The quick sisters was fun to do.
Putting them in to PS filter gallery,
I also liked the charcoal effect?
What do you think?
A second edition from my friend, Austrian artist Heidi ...
we benefit from her and her husband's weekend getaway.
"Our hotel was situated in Bad Waltersdorf, I added

"While in Bad Waltersdorf, a small village in the south-eastern
part of Styria. Gentle
hills with vineyards, meadows
and woods are characteristic for this
landscape
located in the middle of the Styrian thermal region."

"The town of Bad Waltersdorf is also known for the
beautiful flowers you find in every corner possible."
