I am dragging a bit today. My body thought we had a deal that I would have a rest day in between every big day and that had worked out pretty well until lately when I had several big days in a row. Friday Beatriz and I had our usual weekly afternoon lunch at Olive Garden and a stop at an Art recycling store. (It was good to know there's a place in Santa Ana that I can donate much of my too much art supplies when needed.) Saturday I rode into LA with Mitchell to see a good friend of ours who is ailing, then had a late lunch and popsicles for dessert at my house. Sunday Colin, Jill and Mollie picked me up to go to Manaao in Tustin, where the Thai food was really great and watching Millie was such a treat!

Monday could have been a rest day but I really needed to make a treck to Costco which is always a workout at 84. I also stopped at Trader Joe's. And, I had some "dumb prizes" to get ready for Tuesday's Costa Mesa Dojo's 38th Annual Jr. Marathon. Sensei Roy and Sensei Brian had invited me again, and I was happy to go and help a little.

It's wonderful to see former students and the dojo traditions of Costa Mesa dojo still in tact, thanks to Sensei's Roy and Sensei Brian and their great students. And, thanks to all these good friends who get me out of my rabbit hole.

I love you all!

A German Shepherd’s journey to becoming a service dog ended for the most adorable reason — he could not bear to leave his favourite stuffed elephant behind.
Despite showing plenty of potential during training, his bond with the toy made it difficult to meet the strict requirements of the role. In the end, he chose his little companion over certification.
He may not have become a service dog, but he still won hearts everywhere.
Some friendships are simply too special to give up

Jacki, you really had a busy schedule. And although that's hard it's better than having nothing to do and not meeting anybody. But now it's important that you get some rest to be well prepared for the next busy days.
I had fun with my little grandson. Yesterday we were together with both sons and their families. After such a happy time I always find it very challenging to get used to being only the two of us again. I miss them so much but I know they have their own life now - that's life. I'm grateful that they take the time to meet us and celebrate with us.
