Grooving Is the Millennia-Old Key to Health and Community
More effective than medication, therapy, and yoga, dancing recently topped the list of successful treatments for depression, and for good reason. Since time immemorial, boogying has permeated every culture and formed the basis of social bonds, and community and strong mental health.
Jean-Marcel St. Jacques unveiled a powerful wooden quilt at the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley House Museum, crafted from preserved bits of Till's family home. This artwork honors Emmett Till, a 14-year-old lynched in 1955, by highlighting the strength and resilience of his family. The quilt, inspired by African traditions and created from scrap wood, is a tribute and educational tool for the museum, set to open in 2026.

Trees are often cut down so quickly. I makes me sad that people can do it so easily. So, let's plant some new trees!
Jacki, Your stories again where informative and interesting. Thanks!
