It is fun to tear up into scraps from old paintings, or doodle sheets, the paint often has a wonderful richness. My favorites is by Seal Beach Artist, Judy Todd, who cut up some of her old watercolors to make this great portrait.

I am sharing a quick 5-step collage, on an olive 5x7" cardstock.

Fun to do, even when they might not turn out as planned, sometimes even better.
There are people who see colors you can't even imagine. Most humans are trichromats — three types of cone cells in the retina, allowing us to distinguish about 10 million colors. But some people, mostly women, have a genetic mutation giving them a fourth cone type — tetrachromacy. They can see up to 100 million colors, perceiving subtle differences invisible to the rest of us. A tetrachromat might look at what you see as "green" and see five distinct shades. The condition is rare but real, confirmed by genetic testing and color-discrimination experiments. The world is far more colorful than you think — you just can't see it. Why it matters to YOU: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder — literally.

interesting about the human eye... I always think that everyone should see the world through your eyes- the world would be a better place! (actually, it's your wise brain and your kind heart!)
