I love journaling. I even love my journals. I have over 140 that are retired, just sitting there. I guess I should go through them and see what was on my mind back then? I still jot in a journal once in a while, but actually, this daily blog has turned into my journal of the day. I'm pretty sure it doesn't seem like it takes up as much time as it does. Just the thinking and looking for what might be interesting eats up time, but the real glutton is my going down various web rabbit holes that call out to me. I regularly find a topic that surprises me, so I want to check it out before I add it onto the page. While I am in the darn rabbit hole, it's not unusual to be excited by another rabbit hole, and you get the idea?
I do have an Instagram account that I haven't touched in years. I know that Instagram is better than FB, but I can't allow myself to go there. The last time I did, it gobbled up three hours before I realized I had missed an appointment. I admit it, I can't handle it! I may start an Instagram Anonymous for like minded people, in my spare time? In other words, it won't get done.
The Slow Loris
With large round eyes and a fluffy coat of fur, you might describe slow lorises (genus Nycticebus) as adorable—but did you know these primates also have a venomous bite? They’re one of the only mammalian species on Earth to possess this rare trait. A gland under the loris’s arm produces a chemical that turns deadly when mixed with loris saliva. Those bitten have reported anaphylactic shock, extreme pain, and infection among other side effects.

Jacki, I'm aware that creating your blog takes many hours and I always appreciate that you take the time for it. Not just once in a while but daily! That's so nice an generous of you. I love visiting your blog daily and I'm alway delighted about what I can find here. Thanks you.
I agree with Elenor!
Funny that I just read yesterday's blog & left a comment on a crow story & then I just read today's blog where you posted about crows again :)
I used to think crows were ugly & annoying birds until I learned about them from your blogs
Thank you dear Elenor, you are always so kind and help me in more ways than you know. I do think it is keeping me alert, always looking for what might be of interest. Thanks again for another boost! ;o)
Thanks Cheryl,, me too! I still think they are bullies to other, especially smaller birds, but they are smart and have a place in this world like you and me. They are often kind and giving to humans who are the same, but mistreat them and you have a a formidable opponent.
