This sweet little gourd was given to me as a test gourd to practice my wood burning for a project, taught by amazing gourd artist, Norma Prickett back in 2022. It was just so perfect that I couldn't cut it and instead, brought this perfect little gourd home in all its glory to have a special spot in my studio. Isn't it perfect? Now in 2026 it is still perfect and appreciated over and over. Special simple things can bring joy.

After day class Wednesdays, lunch with

Demura Sensei, 2018

This visionary concept merges two classical stone building with a fluid, undulating glass skybridge, creating a striking visual tension between historical and ultra-modern forms.
By introducing a gravity-defying, wave-like corridor suspended over a traditional urban streetscape, the design transforms how cities connect while honoring historic architecture.

I love how you always find beauty and joy in even the simplest of things. Thank you for the reminder to "stop and smell the roses".

Jacki, I love how happy you look in that photo with Demura Sensei in 2018. What a beautiful memory.

Thanks for showing the modern glass bridge that connects the two classic buildings. It reminded me of the pyramid that I. M. Pei designed at the Louvre in Paris. I also loved the cartoon with the robber inside the walker: just appealed to my sense of humor!
