Day 9

Cooler today, maybe some rain? I forgot to mention that Sumo started last Sunday and will run through July 26th, Tuesday was day 3 and the highlights are shown four times a day on NHK Japanese network. I just discovered Ted Lasso last night. WW & SM played the entire first season for me, and I loved it. I don't have extra pay channels, so it's not available at home. And, I am 3/4 through Nightingale which is another really great book. I am on a roll! Speaking of books ...

 

Today marks the 66th anniversary of Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" (1960) (one of my very most favorites for years) -- a novel containing truths so universal that they bear repeating in 2022...

Greater Sage-Grouse

One of North America's iconic grassland birds, thriving across the wild sagebrush plains. The Greater Sage-Grouse is the largest grouse in North America. It lives in the sagebrush landscapes of the western United States and parts of Canada, where its spectacular courtship displays make it a truly remarkable bird.
