Expressive ‘Ohlala’ Characters

Sporting colorful garments and richly patterned faces, Reen Barrera’s doll sculptures evoke an expressive, make-believe world. Often dressed in striped tops and hand-stitched hoods with animalistic ears, his imaginative Ohlala characters represent the universality of human emotions while emphasizing every individual’s unique qualities.

Good morning Jacki, Wow! you have really had your plate full: lots of great things, but also some sucky things. Hope that leak gets fixed soon. I am still amazed at how you find all the these interesting stories and photos of creative people and things. (It really helps your readers, like me, in a world so full of worry.)
