I received a beautiful handmade journal
by friend/artist Valerie Kemp (@valkemp60).
I started a collage with one large paper on the first page.
1. |
Then a sewing pattern detail for the second piece.
2. |
Three more random pieces are added.
3. |
Adding more papers to the composition.
About now, I am discouraged with the overall composition.
But, with collage, there is always a fix.
4. |
Adding more, strategically to strengthen the design.
5. |
Small changes and additions that are starting to work.
6. |
Knowing when to stop is the hard part.
7.
Two close-ups, looking for areas to work.
|

Finally, content.
8. |
The last piece was the vertical cut-off letters on the right.
Thank you, Valerie.
