DAY 2477: More from Santa Fe.

content: graphite drawing & junk mail collage.

Want music?

Click here for Stevie Wonder, You Are the Sunshine of My Life.
then click back on this blog tab or here to listen as you browse, or not?

Have you ever noticed when a particular song plays, it can bring back specific memories, and sometimes they are crystal clear.

Everyday I pick the music for the selection above.
Sometimes vocals, classical or whatever seems good.
Today as I was driving home from Costco, after five errands, today's selection above played and I was transported back to the then newborn WW, in her first year.
We used the guest bathroom vanity as a changing table. I remembered clearly changing her and singing along with Stevie
to the "Sunshine of My Life."
I also remembered her then blue eyes staring up at me.

A bonding time, for sure.

Last week at this time, we were enjoying the beauty of Santa Fe.
And since there are still unused photos, I will share works from Casa Nova

Situated in the heart of Santa Fe's historic Railyard district,
the "SOHO" of Santa Fe, is Casa Nova. It prides itself on  the extraordinary art, craft & contemporary design pieces from Africa and exotic places in the world in a cultural fusion that epitomizes "the art of living and living with art".

Casa Nova is also committed to making a difference in the world, by supporting fair trade cooperatives and women's groups, making sure that they have sustainable wages and good working conditions.

Shoppers will find a wide range of items including furniture, custom bedding, one-of-a-kind cushions, unusual imported
textiles, home décor, jewelry, fashion accessories and
"world class" African art. There are Santa Fe designers in the mix.

Natalie Fitz-Gerald

When Casa Nova opened in 2004 the focus was on African art. Owner Natalie Fitz-Gerald, who hailed from South Africa,
wanted to bring both antique and new art from her home
continent to Santa Fe. Rated as one of the top 10 shops to see.

A smile for Wednesday ...
