I've been at the house on the hill since Friday Morning.

Superman flew up Thursday for business,
WonderWoman drove up to meet him Friday morning early.
I came to join 2 granddogs & 3 grandhunks + friends Friday.
The plan was to stay till Monday, but their LV friends had an
serious emergency and had to fly to San Francisco.
The superheroes will drive home today, Saturday, as will I.
I am on their patio with my laptop and dogs, and a lovely breeze.
Time seems to go a little slower out here.

While I started this blog, I watched my Ball State U try beat
the big ten Indiana in football. Final score 34 -24. Good try.

Laker and Zoey had no interest in FB, but stayed close.

Zoey has a donut toy. Actually I think this is the 5th donut.
She loves to bite on it, it has a very loud squeaker!
It gets annoying, but she loves her donut.
Today Laker was lying at my feet, and finally raised his head and looked at me, pleadingly, "can't you do something?"
I was playing "tug" with her (which can go on forever)
and acted like I threw it into the kitchen.
Actually I slid it behind my back. Silence!
About a minute later, Laker again raised his head and smiled.
I smiled too.

Did I mention that I am a ... highly skilled procrastinator?
I realize that it's not something worthy of bragging rights,
but ... I am skilled at it!

I've always been a last minuter. It started in college.

Where I always got things done, but at the last possible moment.

Sunday at church, the message was the evils of procrastination.
My family looked at me and smiled. The pastor too.

I am better than I used to be,

but I still have a long way to go.

One advantage: WonderWoman is not a procrastinator!
She saw me and decided she didn't want the stress. Smart.

Family update:

We all go to Eastside Church in Anaheim.
We used to go to the 10:30 service every Sunday,
but Grandhunk 1 & 2 work brunch @ Social, in Costa Mesa.
Now Grandhunk # 3 works brunch @ Rockwell's, in Villa Park.
Luckily for us, our church just added a 4:30 pm Sunday service.

This enabled Superman and WonderWoman to take up golf.

The Grandhunks can go to work and
we call all go to church together Sunday afternoon.

GH#1, SM, GH#2, WW,  GH#3

Just feels right, and Sunday is so much better together.

GH#3, me, GH#1 & GH#2

GH#2, me, GH#1 & GH#3

We all eat Sunday dinner together afterwards.

And I catch up my hugs.
(GH#1 is 14" inches taller than me, so he has to adapt. ;o)
So many blessings.

Church today was lovely, as always.
I tagged along with Superman, WonderWoman,
GH#3 & Connor, Grandhunk #3's child hood friend from Texas.
Lunch at Esther's was delicious.
I came home and heard a nap calling. I answered.
Evidently it was a long nap calling.
Woke up sloth like, with a blog to do.

So I decided to shoot the stuff I see from here.

This tiny room is overloaded with stuff.
Some necessary, some because I like to look at them,
and the clutter because I need to re-organize.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you.

On a beautiful SoCal Friday ...

I drove to Mission Viejo and Mount of Olives Church.

Mount of Olives Adult Day Program is
a warm, structured, day program providing creative,
social services, designed to fit the needs of seniors
with mild cases of Alzheimer’s, dementia and
other clinical conditions, who want to get out
and have fun in a safe, honoring place.

I was hired to present a collage art program for 32 adults.
My idea was to incorporate their family photos into a collage.
I was given a one hour time frame.

None of this would be possible without their family,
who hunted up meaningful & relevant photos  ...
transferred to photocopies by Suzanne Helmstetter.
And almost twenty family members & friends who helped.
It could not have worked without their help.
In addition to preparing photos, Suzanne Helmstetter prepared
glues sticks, substrates, spoons for brayers & all arrangements.
I still can't believe I didn't get a photo Suzanne!

Each adult had a container of tissue paper to add, if they chose,
to their photo collage. I demonstrated tearing around the photos
which was seemed a strange concept to some, but some tried it.

I apologize that I didn't get the artist's names, time flew by.

by Margaret

I spent some time with Margaret as she worked, and noticed
her Scottish Dance photo, she was surprised
that I knew and I told her I had done that too.
I asked if she had done the sword dance too, and she had.
She asked my name and when I told her,
she said I must go meet the other Jackie, so I did.

And so, I got to meet Jackie, another lovely lady.

Phieng Kim

I spoke with Phieng, so lovely to see her photos.
Phieng told me she had 3 girls, no boys!
I told her I had 1 girl, no boys! But, that I have 3 grandsons!
She said "Oh that's good!"  I agreed.

I apologize that I did not get every collage photo. I meant to.
This event was under written by Mount of Olives

Betty, and her daughter Dru

Adult Day Program and Betty Sill's family, the Mauers.

Finishing the event with a beautiful, delicious cake
provided by Betty Hill's family.

Thank you Mount of Olives Adult Day Program, and
your beautiful facility, caring staff, families & adults.
