Almost every Friday, good friend, artist, Ann and I
go to a matinee movie. We usually eat a bite before or after.

Friday afternoon we saw The Gentlemen, but
please be warned, there is nothing gentle about it.
The dialogue in this movie is absolutely hard to take.
We surely got a lifetime dose but as Ann
said after, "It's probably how crooks talk in London."
And there is another hurdle, the violence &
gore is dominant. However, if you can tolerate those,
it is clever and even funny. Ann and I had walked out of
Jo Jo Rabbit in the first 15 minutes, but we both
liked this one. In fact, when it was over,
we both just sat there rethinking all the twists and turns.
Well acted. I just now realized when googling, that Hugh
Grant was a major figure that I hadn't recognized at all.
There you have it, a comedy-mystery-thriller with warnings.

A bear of the world

Every child knows the pain of forgetting a cherished toy and thinking it lost forever. When Grayson Mulligan left his bear on a Southwest flight over Thanksgiving holiday, his parents were desperate to find it. Sadly, the bear never turned up. A team of Southwest employees was so moved by the Mulligan's search they decided to offer up the next best thing: An adorable new bear, who seems to have quite a bit of experience in the air travel industry. That's perfect for Grayson because his mother says he's been interested in planes for years, and even wants to be a pilot someday. Southwest sent the bear to Grayson, along with photos of his new friends working on the tarmac, preparing the cabin of a flight and even inspecting the cockpit. Grayson named the bear Jack because, the boy said, "He looked like a Jack to me."

2GN2S: Zoey Update:

Granddog, Zoey is a 1 year, 10 month Boxer.
We've been anxiously waiting for her puppy energy to wane.
Not yet, she is still unlimited energy and curiosity.
She has devoured six dog beds and a huge number of toys.
Zoey dismantles toys, down to the stuffing and looks
sad when we take them away as dangerous to her.

How about a fashion show of stuff you might not consider?

Described as Swedish Design with a Green Soul - Est. 1976.
I was looking through my newest www.gudrunsjoden.com
catalog and admired so many things that I like but most
likely won't order. I thought maybe I'd share?

Thursday we woke early, finished packing and checked out of ...

a really charming home away, while we were in Santa Fe.

We left Santa Fe for Albuquerque Airport.
After returning the rental car, we were ready to wait.
This airport is western themed and has comforting
beige and rust color scheme.
A contrast from industrial look of LAX.

During our wait to board, we did some people watching.
I thought you might enjoy seeing my brunch?
A $4 coke and banana bread = $8.50.

A full American Eagle flight with 78 passengers

took off for the 1 hour 35 minute flight to LAX.
Once at Irene's home, I set off for Tustin at 4:03 pm,
knowing I would deal with rush hour and freeway traffic.
The 55 miles took two hours.
Palos Verde Road, Crenshaw Boulevard to 405, to 22 to 55.
Small but welcoming, Home Sweet Home!
Unpack, laundry and repeat packing for tomorrow's
Mother-Daughter weekend trip to Palm Springs.

I have over 100 unused Santa Fe photos yet to share.
adding just  a few here.

Irene @ Casa Nova

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll join me from Palm Springs?
