It's Sumo Time.

basho (tournament) happens six times a year for fifteen consecutive days. Today was Day 6. I am such a fan that I try to schedule so I can see all four daily broadcasts of that days bouts. I am so thankful for NHK, Japan's English channel, channel #812 on Cox Cable. I wasn't going to mention Sumo this basho but I opened the José Naranja blog this morning, to find his title,Yokozuna wannabe.

I have featured José Naranja before, herehere and here. Each of Naranja’s notebook pages are packed full of his own writing, illustrations, stamps, and photos, all of which beautifully document the life of this well-traveled artist.

Naranja sells an edited compilation of his best work in an elaborate, multilingual book called The Orange Manuscript. Find out more on his website, and follow the artist on Instagram for daily updates from his sketchbooks. I can watch this last week of the November basho here on Ch.322 ! ;o)

WonderWoman met me at the JSX airport and we were at their home in 20 minutes. Superman made delicious chili and WW made salad, corn bread and cooked spiced carrots. Thanks Superheroes!

Gh#1, Jordan and Rocky came after work ...

Gh#3, Zack came after them and his work ...

We all watched tv and visited. Long, great day!

Special thanks to Cheryl and Johnny for taking me to the airport!
