I started with a tiny photo, but a cool composition.

Step 1
Step 3

Then three layers, I deleted step 2/red and played.
I drew with the mouse in blue.

step 4

This one took 1 hour 5 minutes. Some are quick, some not.

It's not what I planned, but then I am not often in control.

2GN2S

Did you watch the Jetsons?

Did you see the Carvana commercial on tv?

The brand-new Westminster Car Vending Machine –
a sparkling eight-story structure that’s altering the car
buying landscape for more than 13.1 million
residents living in greater Los Angeles.

The most frequent question asked at google is
if the car vending machine is real? I wondered too?
The 20th & newest structure is at
13950 Springdale St, Westminster, CA 92683Westmister,
easily seen from the 405 freeway, southbound.
Dad would say... "Never thought I'd see the day?"

Yesterday felt like a Friday.
I took out the trash and did laundry, all Friday stuff.
But it was, in fact, Saturday. So I think today is Sunday.
Do you ever do that or am I the only crazy?

:
Everyone was at the beach last night,
but GH#3 came home later. as had work this morning.

This is the view from the house in Newport Beach

Here at (THOTH) the house on the hill ...
We 3 were up at 6:15 am & woke GH#3 at 6:30, as he had work.
We 3 spent some time outside ...

Zoey

and more  time playing...

And this evening when I got their attention ...

Zoey, age 1.

even the camera-shy Laker.

Laker, age 8.

I took a before and after sunset picture tonight.

6:30 pm

Later, I looked out just as the sun was sinking,
but by the time I walked to the fence, it was gone.

8:21 pm

Another quick Dad story.

Dad asked me to do something,
I countered with the jobs I had yet to do,
no doubt trying to avoid doing his task.
Dad repeated his directions.
I said what about ... listing my jobs yet to do.
He countered with, "they will still be there when you're done."
He used that one a lot.

2GN2S:

Japanese Instant Noodle Warriors by Taishi Arimura

Taishi Arimura is a young graphic designer based in Tokyo.
At the age of 25, his eclectic body of work contains humor,
wit and beauty. In one particular series of works, Arimura uses imitation food samples and actual instant noodle packaging to create ‘noodle warriors.’

Arimura sculpts the food samples into the bodies of warriors. He then meticulously carves up the Styrofoam packaging of popular instant noodles – in this case, Nissin’s Cup Noodle and Donbei – to create the armor, which he adheres to the noodles. The final touch is either a fork or chopsticks as weapon and the warriors look like they’re ready for battle.

Arimura posts his quirky designs to his brand new Twitter and Instagram accounts, which are worth following. Some other favorites include this bittersweet photograph of a traffic sign that has presumably been photo-shopped to read “Summer Ends Here,” these inverted artworks that visually portray the city and country and this delightful illustration of sukiyaki noodles as Mt. Fuji.

Thank you Taishi Arimura!

Day 2421: A no image blog? Imagine.

(imagine some good art here)

Doing dishes this morning, I looked out at the bluest sky.
Sometimes I just need to stop and enjoy what is in front of me.

(imagine the great photo of today's blue sky)

We had days and days of rain, and I like the rain.
Yesterday was cloudy, as if it wasn't done yet.
Today it was like a celebration.

(imagine the bare tree with little nubs for the future)

Outside my front door is a fruitless apple tree.
It is almost two storied high, lush and full in summer.
Gradually dropping yellow leaves before Christmas.
And today it's getting ready for spring, there are buds.

(imagine the up view of the bare tree against the blue sky)

I apologize, my jazzy laptop will not upload images tonight.
I have unplugged, rebooted, all that jazz, no luck.
It's like when something isn't like normal,
doesn't make sense & I feel like I am making a mistake?
2,420 days with images, 1 without!
Thank you for your patience,
I hope to be normal soon?

A smile for Wednesday ...

( Please imagine... I had a really good one for you, here. I did!)
