During brumation, my metabolism slows to a crawl, letting my body match winter temperatures and conserve energy when food disappears. This is an evolved survival strategy, not sleep.

Everyday your blog is something I look forward to reading. It is always totally cool! But some days, like today, it is even cooler than usual. And yes, I am allowed to use the word "cool".It is reserved for those of us over eighty! :)
Yes, I use cool, it seems like for years??
Jacki, I'm not jet 80 but I've used "cool" for a very long time now. I love this word - it describes your blog so properly.
Thanks for sharing my poor birthday card. I'm glad it arrived after 2 months and wasn't lost. I just want to mention that I learned thiskind of collage on a free online workshop by Lucie Duclos last year. You can still see that she was my teacher and inspiration but at least I learned to make it more personal with some changes.
What a great class that much have been, as your card is truly wonderful. I have it on my wall here in the studio, so I can enjoy it daily. I hope you are still making cards, they will brighten the days for who ever you send them to.
