2GN2S

I had a wonderful day yesterday and am still just smiling. I was wondering what 2GN2S could be today, and I came across some Great Dane photos (they always melt my heart).  In one, the Dane ...

is resting his head on a kitchen counter, and I remember my Dane's doing that too. Their head is heavy, and way out in front of their body.

Our head is a heavy part of our body too, but if our posture is good, and the head is in alignment with our spine, we can carry it around pretty well. But dogs carry their head in front of their four legs of support.  Of course all of this is just my opinion, or observation (a jacki thing). Dogs in general like you to pet and support their heads in various ways. Have you noticed?

I am missing my Danes, all four, but this can apply to all dogs.

This animal doesn’t just eat, it runs on sunlight.
The solar-powered sea slug, Elysia chlorotica, blurs the line between plant and animal in one of the strangest ways nature allows. Instead of digesting everything it eats, it steals chloroplasts from algae and keeps them alive inside its own cells.
Those stolen chloroplasts keep converting sunlight into energy, allowing the slug to survive for months, sometimes nearly a year, without eating at all.

Your Katie is so cute. I love her.
I also like the other stories and your first smile is so appropriate.
For me a morning feels like a clean canvas. I didn't know this feeling before retiring. Then I couldn't choose what to do, there was a clear routine that had to be followed. Now I have time and can choose by myself - that's a form of freedom that can also be quite stressful. What do you think?
Thank you Jacki for giving me so much "input" to think about.

Thanks Elenor, yes, I agree each day is a blank canvas and the decisions of how to fill the canvas is harder after we retire and are out of our routine.I can't say I always use my canvas best, but the blog keeps me trying I guess?

That is what I will do now, but don't know what the 2GN2S will be yet?
