Weddings, nowadays ...

Being one of the older wedding observers, I have noticed a lot of changes since back in my day, '62 and even since WonderWoman's day in '95. A year and a half of diligent planning is not unusual for today's weddings. But I wanted to share a new (to me) feature. Now, the photos of the bride, groom. bridal party and relatives are often taken before the ceremony, instead of after like in olden days. This is done to make the day easier and run smoother from ceremony to dinner or reception. Formerly, the groom and bride's father didn't see the bride until the ceremony. Now, because of photography, they have a reveal, before the photo sessions, when the father of the bride is stationed facing away, and the bride comes from behind and taps her Dad who turns to see the beautiful bride.

This is called the reveal, and it is repeated for the groom. But, what I wanted to share was a surprise reveal. Grandson, Jordan 6'6" was tapped and turned to see good friend and even taller, Sam! The result was hilarious.

TMI: I will no doubt be posting more wedding photos, there are literally hundreds to choose from.  But I will label it TMI so you can skip over if you have already had enough?

Carrol Wolf here. (One of these days, my children will help me become myself on your blog. But for now: Just wanted to say, what a great blog. I saved it until this evening when a busy day is done. The music video was amazing and I plan to send it on to my son. It is always a pleasure to see your family being funny. (Maybe he will be shaving off one eyebrow again soon!) You are so lucky to be part of this wholely functional and loving family, Jacki. And I know that you know it, and that you also know you contributed to it greatly with you wisdom, your care, and your joy. Thank you from all of us who benefit from the hours you spend to bring us a gift each day.

Thank you, Carrol, you are so kind. I do know I am blessed with a great family, and I do appreciate them for who they are. All a bit crazy, but then never boring.
I think you, because I often hesitate in writing. Fearing that I overdo or go beyond, but then I hear from you and others that it is okay and so I pound out another blog. I am 13+ years now, so they may not all be jewels, but I so show up. ;o)
