TMI : Great Dane Family.
I had several Great Dane comments and requests yesterday, so ... We had our first Great Dane pre WonderWoman. Marcus Aurelius of Dun Roman was a show dog. This picture was taken at J.C.Penney's when they had a family photo studio. I called ahead to make sure they could accommodate 150 lb. Marcus. When we arrived I should have taken a picture of the photographers face. Marcus was 9 and WW was near 2.
"It was an amazing thing to see baby Shogun as a 14 pound puppy and tiny WW, (aka Erin) age 4, instantly love each other like brother and sister." Did you know Danes grow a pound a day during their puppyhood? He knew he had to look out for her, and she was taught that she had to be the boss. A wonderful relationship, it makes me teary to remember.

I'm neighbored by three, three-story pine trees and a two-story weeping willow. The pines release their needles into my yard...

Carrol here: Last day to pack, get dog's stuff ready, handle all of my brother's needs for the two weeks I'll be gone. So I am up early and just enjoyed those precious photos of WW and the Great Dane. What a regal dog. Thank you for posting these. I guess as we get older, looking back is part of what makes life now worthwhile. At this point I feel like I might just stay on board the ship and do nothing, as we cruise down the Danube. But that may change as I get rested. I'll miss your daily dose of eye candy and fun information. But think of the fun I'll have waiting for me when I get home! Thank you, Jacki.
Thanks Carrol, it sounds like a Viking cruise? I've heard that it's a wonderful trip/ Have fun, rest up, enjoy. You deserve it!
Oh, such sweet photos of Erin and her Great Dane. How lucky we are to have at least all these photos left. In earlier times there were no pictures just those in the mind.
How lovely is your last smile you give us on our way. Thanks, Jacki!
Thank you, Elenor. Yes, I dod love photos, old to new. They capture our special memories. I was actually remembering the day when the photos were taken.
