A visit in Austria with Elenor.
Good friend and artist shares the beauty of her country. In Styria there are many sweet chestnut trees. Chestnuts are a popular food here in winter when it's cold. My daughter in law collected some and we prepared them when we came home. In the meantime autumn had started. From one day to the other it had become cold.

In one of the pictures a house can be seen in the middle of vineyards.  These are often farmhouse inns serving their own (cold!) food products, breads with cheese, meat, ... salads and cakes. And of course they serve their own vine. Delicious!  Monday started with a fine breakfast.  Our son and girlfriend went biking and we enjoyed the wonderful hotel with its swimming pool.  We were so lucky because this was the last warm summer day of this year.  Salad with the typical dark Pumpkin seed oil  A mini-vacation from our chair, thank you so much for sharing, Elenor.  |

Thanks so much Elenor, I love your pictures! It really is ;ike a mini vacation. ;o) I am getting rested, today out electricity was off from 8 - 4, I forget how much we rely on it.
