Paddington Bear, probably fiction’s best-known Peruvian, has been granted a passport by authorities in his adoptive country of Britain. Rob Silva, co-producer of the upcoming film “Paddington in Peru,” revealed the existence of the British passport in an interview with Radio Times magazine published Monday. In the film, the third in the hit series, the little bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw) travels home to Peru to visit his Aunt Lucy.
“We wrote to the Home Office, asking if we could get a replica, and they actually issued Paddington with an official passport – there’s only one of these,” Silva said, showing the passport, which has Paddington’s photo inside, to journalist Laura Rutkowski.
“You wouldn’t think the Home Office would have a sense of humour, but under official observations, they’ve just listed him as Bear,” added Silva.
The movie is inspired by the work of late children’s author Michael Bond, who created the character of Paddington Bear in 1958 book “A Bear Called Paddington,” which follows the adventures of a small orphaned bear as he travels from Peru to the British capital.
An eventful weekend, indeed.
Saturday, Superman & WonderWoman did their in-person early voting, and sent me this photo to prove it, I sent them my "voted" sticker, and a joke that was non-denominational, but funny?
GH#1, Jordan and Rocky moved into their new condo. They got the keys last week and have been moving things in on the evenings after work. Sunday was the final big day with all hands on deck to help.
On Sunday, Good friend, Irene, drove in from PVE and we met at Toast at 9 AM. We are trying to get together every month, we are only about an hour apart. We have so many great memories together, we should live next door! Irene made me a precious little journal and brought flowers! No wonder I love her.
Then about 1 PM, GH#3, Zack, came to visit. He had driven in from Nevada early Saturday morning and visited GH#2. Jake. We went to Naan & Kabob, his favorite, and we both ate too much. He left at 4PM as he had to get back for work on Monday. I appreciate the time we had, but being greedy, I always wish for more. Zack got a haircut!
Around 4:30 PM I decided to take a nap, I woke at 8:20 PM!
